The Weekly Newsletter for UWT Resources and Events

Upon assuming my role, I successfully rebranded the “Husky411” newsletter to The Grit List. This transition involved utilizing Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva for creative design purposes. Additionally, I strategically formulated plans using student data that resulted in a significant increase in our peak open rate from 44% to 70%. The average open rate also increased from 25% to 61%!

This transformation demonstrates my capacity for innovation in fostering engagement within the digital sphere. Through The Grit List, I have revitalized our newsletter and established a platform that authentically engages its audience.

Riah’s Brow Art is a microblading (semi-permanent) eyebrow business founded by me at the age of 19. I established this venture with aspirations of enhancing people’s confidence by accentuating their natural beauty without makeup. I firmly believe that well-shaped eyebrows play a vital role in framing one’s face and highlighting other features. By providing defined and symmetrical brows, individuals can experience a significant transformation, allowing them to feel more beautiful and confident. Moreover, my services were advertised as a way to enjoy activities like swimming and going to the gym without being overly concerned about their makeup.

Riah’s Brow Art had been flourishing as a lucrative venture with promising profit margins. However, the beauty industry faced challenges during the pandemic, leading to irregular closures and reopening schedules. In response, I made the strategic decision to shift my focus towards my passion for marketing within the business landscape.
